CAVES in Bethlehem could be “portals to heaven” and the Turin Shroud is proof, according to conspiracy theorists.
Caves played a prominent role in the death of Jesus Christ – the Bible reads he was resurrected after being placed inside a tomb.
And many biblical sites, such as the Church of Nativity, the Mount of Olives and the church of the Holy Sepulchre were all located upon caves.
Author Kathleen McGowan Coppens – speaking on BLAZE series Ancient Aliens – said this all points to their spiritual importance.
“There does seem to be a mystical environment here, this idea of a cave being a place where someone who is of divinity comes and someone of divinity leaves, so it's as if passages were happening in the caves," she says in the latest episode.
